"I have employed Martin Leska to perform extensive slate and copper work on my roof, as well as to paint my house. These were extensive jobs that required strategic thinking as well as a broad range of expertise. The jobs were performed very well, and I have since given Martin's name to several of my friends.
I met Martin two years ago as he was working on a copper bay window a few blocks away. I asked him to assess our slate roof and gutters and help me define the scope of the job. The roof work was extensive. Martin installed excellent new copper snow guards of his own design. He installed new gutters, replaced mismatched and broken slate, installed copper flashing, reflashed chimneys, replaced facia boards with copper flashing of his design, and replaced the slate on the dormer over the entrance. To keep his work inconspicuous, he reused old pieces of old slate, bought salvaged slate, and artistically arranged new pieces of purple slate. The job required considerable expertise in slate work, copper work, and carpentry.
As a result, it's safe to say that the roof looks better than it did in 1914, when the house was constructed. Last year, I asked Martin to return and paint the entire house. He completed that job promptly and well."

On the day I called him, he came over, took measurements, and was quick to return fair and reasonable estimate.
