3 out of 4 corners with original tin cornices, soffits with decorative blocks and freeze boards with detailed dentil molding were rusted true. Even with mason scafeline set up and 3 people supporting one corner section at the time sections have being so rusted that they literally collapsed.
Leska LLC have carefully cataloged, measured and begin pain-staking process of reprodusing ornaments to exact sizes and specifications.
Both of the front corners would have to be tied back to the rest of the molding in good condition in the middle. Because we lost exact dimension the actual lenght fitting would have to be done in the field after all times were reproduced. It took us roughly 3 weeks.
Leska used Follansbee sheets made out of TCSII (Terne coated stainless) This way the product can accept high quality paint and will never rust out. The reason the corners failed is that the original terne build in box gutters begin to leak and caused all that damage bellow. Almost all framing was redone 100%. To match matching mortar was also challenging but we have found match.
