Leska's thoughts

Copper has a rich history in the roofing industry.  Copper roofing has been around for hundreds of years and has held its position for all that time.

After your roof is installed, it will begin aging.  The aging process is slow but will yield some of the most beautiful colors that a roof will see.  We have a copper aging chart featured to the right.

Leska chooses revere because of their proximity to our working area and their tension leveling process.

Tension leveling allows us to work the copper sheets into roofing panels with greater ease. Also, the greatest benefit is on the customer's end; tension leveling the sheets means that the copper won't form small but noticable buckles on your roof as other, cheaper copper roofs might.

A copper roof is also entirely recyclable and, with our professional installation, will last at least 100 years.  This will be the last roof you will ever have to put on!

Repairs on a copper roof are also easy:  If your roof copper roof has or ever gets a leak, call Leska, and we will be there to solder it soon!

What can I expect?

Leska has installed copper roofs all over our region; chances are, there is one within a quick drive of your home or workplace!

When we install copper roofing, we start out with a copper roll that we get directly from revere.  With this roll, we cut each panel to length to make sure that there are absolutely no horizontal seams on your roof; each panel will stretch from the ridge of your roof to the gutters.  We then bend the ridges to give the panel strength and to give us somewhere to seal each panel together.  From here, we move the panel to your roof and seal it by hand to each adjacent panel, making your roof completely and entirely watertight.

Revere's Bio

It was over 50 years ago that Revere- the oldest, most respected producer of sheet copper in North America- set out to research and develop the use of sheet copper in exterior architectural applications. As a result of that effort, cold rolled copper has become the dominant material in architectural sheet copper construction.

Through the years, Revere has combined proven technologies with a flair for innovation and their own strict standards for quality to become the world's leading producer of roofing copper.

Leska uses revere for all of our copper needs.  They truly offer the highest quality copper for roofing.
